Rafting and ATV tour with a waterfall: the most popular combo in Brotas
If you are spending a weekend in Brotas and want to make the most of it, the combination of rafting and ATV tour is one of the most popular in town. On one side, the thrill of the Jacaré Pepira River rapids; on the other, dirt trails, hill scenery and a waterfall with a drop of more than 70 meters. And you can do it all with Brotas Rafting and TRT Brotas, companies of the same group.
ATV tour with a waterfall: the 25 km route
O ATV Tour + Waterfall covers about 25 km of dirt roads and trails in the Monte Cristo hills in about 2 h 30 min. Halfway along, a short trail of moderate difficulty leads to the top of Santa Maria Waterfall, with a drop of more than 70 m and a unique view of the valley. Then it's time for a swim in the cascades.

ATV tour with a river swim: the 18 km route
Want something shorter? ATV Tour + River Swim covers 18 km of dirt roads and country trails, takes about 1 h 30 min, passes through Sítio Belo Quinto and stops for a swim in the Pinheirinho River.
On both routes, a guide leads the group the whole time, each ATV carries up to 2 people and, depending on the schedule, the tour can end with the sunset over the countryside.
How to plan the rafting + ATV combo
A suggested weekend itinerary:
- Morning: Rafting in Brotas, about 8 km with 32 rapids and 14 drops (departures at 9 am);
- Afternoon: ATV tour with a waterfall or a river swim, ending with the sunset when available.
Prefer to split it over two days? Go rafting one day and do the ATV tour the next, at a calmer pace. Traveling with small children? Swap rafting for Mini Rafting, from 3 years old.

What to bring
- Closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get wet and dirty;
- Swimwear and a towel;
- Sunscreen and insect repellent;
- A change of clothes for after the tours.
Requirements and meeting point
On the ATV tour, passengers can ride from 7 years old; to drive, check the requirements with our team. The meeting point is the TRT Brotas office, just 100 m from Parque dos Saltos.
