Description

What is Rafting?

Rafting is a white-water activity on a flowing river, through drops and rapids, in inflatable boats.
All participants must use a life jacket, helmet and paddle (yes, you have to paddle, lol).
It is a group activity, so everyone paddles together toward the fun.

Night Rafting with Brotas Rafting

Night Rafting is one of the must-do activities in the town of Brotas.
Held only on Saturdays on Full Moon nights.
Amid mysteries and discoveries you will experience under a starry sky and a silver Moon.

We don't use artificial light: the Moonlight lights up the whole route.
During the activity, adventurers wear a neon bracelet (light stick) and the guides carry flashlights, but only turn them on if needed.

The activity leaves from the Brotas Rafting base, in downtown Brotas, where we board our transport to the riverbank.
When we arrive, we give all the instructions for rafting.
Then, already in the boat, we practice the paddling and safety commands that will be used during the activity.

It is about 8 kilometers of drops and rapids through preserved forest.
Some plants, like the night-blooming jasmine, give off their scent only at night, making the activity even more unforgettable! So enjoy the starry sky and your senses

Night Rafting equipment is the same as for daytime rafting, except for the light stick.

At the end of Night Rafting, before returning to town, we offer juice or a hot drink, water and the famous cachaça with honey (opens in a new tab) .

Requirements:

Minimum height: 1.20 m
Maximum weight: 120 kg

Departure times:
Usually at 7:30 pm; this may change.

Can you see well during Night Rafting?
Rafting is only held on Full Moon nights.
After a few minutes your eyes adjust to the night, so you can see with just the Moonlight.

How long does Night Rafting take?
The tour takes 3 h to 3 h 30 min from leaving Brotas Rafting until you return. About 1 h 30 min to 2 h of that is on the water.

What should I bring and wear?
– Light, comfortable clothes that can get wet (like sportswear);
– Shoes that won't come off your feet (we recommend sneakers or sports sandals);
– A change of clothes, something practical like a T-shirt or even a towel (it stays in the vehicle);
– Regular medication (asthma, diabetes…). If you use any of these, please let us know.

Our activity includes: Transport, Life Jacket, Paddle, Helmet, Specialized Guides, Light Stick. After the activity we offer water, juice or a hot drink and the famous cachaça with honey.

All our adventurers are individually insured by Porto Seguro.

When you do Night Rafting with us, 1% of the price of your activity is donated to the organization 1% for the Planet.
