Adventure for everyone. At Brotas Rafting, accessibility is possible in all activities. Participation depends on the degree of each disability and on each person's accessibility needs, and is assessed case by case by the coordinators and guides of the activity.

Participant with a leg amputation rafting on the Jacaré-Pepira River: with a prior assessment and adaptations agreed with the team, adventure is for everyone.
How it works
- Talk to us first. Tell us on WhatsApp which activity, the disability or need, and how the person moves around and communicates.
- Team assessment. The coordinators and guides assess the person's condition and the activity and suggest the best way to take part, with adaptations when needed.
- Clear arrangements. Before the day, you get the instructions: time, what to bring, how access will work and what will happen at each step.
- On the day. Safety briefing for the whole group and support from the guides from start to finish.
Activities
Rafting
Accessibility is possible depending on the degree of disability and each person's needs. The team assesses boarding, positioning in the boat and support during the descent.
Zip lines
Accessibility is possible depending on the degree of disability and each person's needs, respecting the weight, height and age rules of each zip line.
Waterfalls and day use
Access conditions vary from place to place (trails, stairs, floors and facilities). We suggest the most suitable options for each case.
Horseback riding
Accessibility is possible depending on the degree of disability and each person's needs, with a prior assessment by the team.
ATV tour (operated by TRT Brotas)
- People with hearing impairments and older adults take part normally.
- Paraplegia, visual impairment and intellectual disability: with adapted equipment or an assessment by the guides.
- Quadriplegia and pregnant women: not possible at the moment.
- The driver must be 18 or older and hold a category B driver's license.
Other cases will be assessed by the coordinators and guides of the activity.
People with autism (ASD)
- Activity explained step by step: what the person will see, hear and feel.
- Support also by text message only on WhatsApp.
- Options assessed case by case: quieter times, private group, extra breaks and early arrival to see the place and the equipment.
- Team aware of the sunflower lanyard.
A website for everyone
- Libras (Brazilian Sign Language): the VLibras button on the left side translates the content into Libras.
- Accessibility button: larger and smaller text, high contrast, highlighted links and a more readable font.
- Keyboard shortcuts: Alt + 1 content, Alt + 2 menu, Alt + 3 search, Alt + 4 footer (in Firefox, Alt + Shift + number; on Mac, Control + Option + number).
- Screen readers: images with descriptions, links and buttons with names and a warning when a link opens in a new tab.
