Casa da Cachaça

Casa da Cachaça is a must for anyone visiting Brotas.

Casa da Cachaça is considered a tourist attraction in town, not only by first-time visitors but also by returning visitors and locals. It is a picturesque, welcoming, pleasant place where you can even taste that typical countryside cachaça.

History:

Founded in 1997, Casa da Cachaça stands for quality, different flavors and that countryside service that makes you feel at home in the shop.

You'll find aged cachaças, liqueurs of all kinds and cachaças in many flavors. Just a word of warning: choose which ones to taste, and be careful, because we don't recommend trying them all given how many there are.

You can also find many kinds of cheese, cured meats, homemade jams, cookies, peppers and homemade sweets made on site. Most of the sweets are made in a copper pot on the wood-fired stove that is always lit inside the shop.

The coffee sold at Casa da Cachaça is produced by the family: it is grown, dried and roasted on the family farm. As soon as you walk into the kitchen you can smell the coffee and see the wood-fired stove.

At the back of the shop is the Caipira Museum, a separate space with old furniture and artifacts from country life, a real trip back in time. The items on display are not for sale.

Customers can also buy souvenirs of the town, T-shirts, caps, crafts and barrels for storing cachaça.

If you liked the sweets and want to buy more, Casa da Cachaça ships to you; see the online store (opens in a new tab).

Casa da Cachaça is open every day from 9 am to 6 pm

Casa da Cachaça is in downtown Brotas, opposite the Main Church and 800 meters from Brotas Rafting.
