Adega Casarão and its old-fashioned aged cachaças

Adega Casarão in Brotas is a great place to taste the true flavor of the countryside. Next to Casarão Hotel, it occupies the old building and keeps the traditional features of the original place, taking visitors back in time.

The more rustic, traditional atmosphere shows in the antiques everywhere. On the ground floor there is a very good selection of products, from Brotas itself and finds from the countryside of São Paulo and Minas Gerais: craft beers, many kinds of honey, dulce de leche, peppers…

The cellar now holds several wooden casks where cachaça is aged the traditional way: the casks stay closed for months and months, during which half of the drink evaporates. Once opened, the process is repeated, creating a blend with the ideal woody flavor.

A place to visit when you pass through Brotas, and to bring back souvenirs for your friends!
