Jacar\u00e9 Eco Park is in one of the largest green areas of Brotas, the Jacar\u00e9 Pepira River gorge, with more than 20 alqueires (about 48 hectares) of preserved forest. It is in the Patrim\u00f4nio de S\u00e3o Sebasti\u00e3o district, 25 km from Brotas Rafting.<\/p>\n
The Eco Park offers changing rooms with hot showers, a snack bar, a deck for swimming in the reservoir, kiosks, a hammock area, a grass volleyball court and plenty of parking. All this alongside a beautiful landscape of waterfalls and the animals that live in this lush natural setting.<\/p>\n
TRAILS AND WATERFALLS<\/strong><\/p>\n At Jacar\u00e9 Eco Park you can visit three waterfalls. One is self-guided (you can go on your own): a trail of medium difficulty, about 500 meters long, to the foot of S\u00e3o Sebasti\u00e3o Waterfall, which is 35 meters high. You can cool off in the natural pool at the foot of the waterfall, about 1.20 m deep on average.<\/p>\n The trails to the other two waterfalls are guided: Patrim\u00f4nio Waterfall, 12 meters high, and Jacar\u00e9 Waterfall, 38 meters high. These trails range from moderate to hard, and these waterfalls also have natural pools for swimming.<\/p>\n STAND UP PADDLE<\/strong><\/p>\n Stand Up Paddle (SUP) is a sport where you paddle standing on a board similar to a surfboard. At Jacar\u00e9 Eco Park it takes place on the Patrim\u00f4nio reservoir, a calm-water spot that makes it easier. You need good balance to try it.<\/p>\n A life jacket is required.<\/p>\n CANOEING<\/strong><\/p>\n Kayaking or canoeing at Jacar\u00e9 Eco Park takes place on the Patrim\u00f4nio reservoir: you paddle a sit-on-top kayak with a double-bladed paddle. It is done on still water and, since you are sitting down, you don't need much balance.
